Priority is on the hunt for a trendsetter who can manage change in the expanding industry of cannabis and help bring process and innovation to a new Fredericton branch of this well-established Canadian organization.  

Our client, is currently seeking a General Manager to join their Fredericton based team.

As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing their new facility in New Brunswick, while working in tandem with the Ontario based head office. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for oversight on all aspects of operations.

Reporting to the Regional General Management, you will ensure that human resources, IT, and general operational structure is consistent with the vision of the organization.

Strong process skills and the ability to adapt are necessary. The General Manager will ensure that the facility operates under specific organizational standards whilst being flexible in envisioning potential for improvement within the Canadian market. 

Our client is seeking a champion of change who enjoys being an early adapter and helps foster a positive environment around progress and transformation. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for mentorship, guidance and leadership as well as strong communications skills.

Experience growing an organization from the ground up is an asset. You will be expected to lead production meetings, coordinate and procure materials as well as services for the facility. Development and implementation of projects to increase efficiency and yield results is a large piece of the role. 

As General Manager you will be expected to:

  • Frequently communicate with staff and stakeholders about process improvement, change and the impact of that change.
  • Manage ongoing operational performance, budgeting and ensuring all Health Canada regulations and policies are complied with.
  • Maintain and repair equipment and building.
  • Manage contractors and service providers.


  • Experience in pharmaceuticals or a manufacturing background is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex projects
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skill
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in a board room setting as well as on the work floor
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and negotiation skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Experienced in directing process improvement and working according to KPI's
  • Experience in the cannabis sector is not a requirement
