Our client, Meals on Wheels of Fredericton, is a nonprofit organization which provides nutritious meals and social support to seniors, individuals with disabilities and those recovering from illness, surgery or injury to assist them in the enhancement of a healthy and independent lifestyle. 

They are seeking a cook for their kitchen located at 880 Hanwell Road.  They are preparing approximately 100 lunchtime meals from this location.

Job Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Lead in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of food product and ensuring consistency in food delivery and standards.
  • Manage food and labour cost according to Meals on Wheels' goals.
  • Responsible for the management and ordering of food supplies. 

Skills & Experience Required: 

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a commercial or institutional kitchen
  • Ability to quickly adapt to client's specific requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations. 

You must have a positive attitude and be a team player. 

Salary: $15.00 / hour , minimum 30 hours per week
